1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Bitz: AI Phone Care (“Bitz”, the “App”) handles information. Bitz is developed and operated by Quantara AI FZ-LLC, Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates (“Quantara AI”, “we”, “us”). Website: https://quantaraai.ae.

Bitz is a local-first Android storage-management application. Personal files are analyzed on your device and are not uploaded to Quantara AI servers in the current production version of the App.

2. Information Bitz accesses on your device

To do its job, Bitz may access the following on your device: photos, videos, audio, documents, downloads, screenshots, filenames, file paths, file sizes, file types, dates, duplicate information, storage information, document text temporarily processed through on-device OCR, locally generated classifications, and protected-file references.

This is device access, not data collection by Quantara AI: this information is read and processed locally on your phone so the App can analyze storage, detect clutter and build cleanup plans. It is not transmitted to Quantara AI servers in the current version.

3. Data collection

Bitz does not currently collect or transmit your personal files, file contents, OCR text or file metadata to Quantara AI servers.

4. Data sharing

Bitz does not currently sell personal data, and does not share your personal files with third parties. Platform-level processing by Google is described in sections 8–10 and 20.

5. On-device AI, OCR and classification

Bitz uses on-device AI to analyze storage, detect duplicates, classify files and (where you use relevant features) extract text from documents via on-device OCR. This processing runs locally. Bitz does not upload OCR document text to Quantara AI.

6. Protected files

You can mark important files — such as IDs, passports, receipts, contracts, financial documents, travel documents and certificates — as protected. Protected-file information (the references that mark files as protected) is maintained locally on your device, and protected files are excluded from cleanup recommendations.

7. File deletion

Cleanup actions in Bitz operate on files stored on your device and are performed at your direction. Review cleanup plans before confirming. Deleting a file through Bitz removes it in the same way as deleting it through your device’s file tools, subject to Android’s behavior (for example, any system trash/recycle features on your device).

8. Android storage permissions

Bitz requests Android storage permissions in order to scan and manage files in your device’s shared storage (such as photos, media and documents). Bitz analyzes accessible shared storage; it does not access the private internal storage that belongs to other Android apps. You control permissions through Android settings and can revoke them at any time (some features will stop working without them).

9. All Files Access

Where Bitz requests broader file-access permission (such as Android’s “All files access”), it is used solely to provide the App’s storage-analysis and cleanup features across your shared storage. Granting this permission is controlled by you through Android system settings.

10. Google Play Billing

Purchases and subscriptions in Bitz are processed by Google Play Billing. Payment is handled by Google; Bitz does not receive your full card or bank credentials. Google’s processing of your payment information is governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policy.

11. Advertising

Bitz does not currently use third-party advertising SDKs and does not show third-party ads.

12. Analytics and tracking

Bitz does not currently use behavioral analytics or tracking SDKs.

13. Location

Bitz does not request or use your device location.

14. User accounts

The current version of Bitz does not require you to create a Quantara AI account to use its core features.

15. Local data retention

Settings, scan results, classifications and protected-file references generated by Bitz are stored locally on your device and remain there until you clear them or uninstall the App.

16. Deleting local Bitz data

You can clear Bitz’s local data at any time through Android settings (App info → Storage → Clear data) or by uninstalling the App. This removes Bitz’s own local data (settings, scan results, classifications, protected-file references). It does not delete your underlying personal files — your photos, videos and documents remain on your device.

17. Security

We design Bitz with a local-first architecture to reduce data exposure, and we apply reasonable safeguards in the App’s design. However, no software or storage environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we encourage you to use device-level protections such as screen locks and device encryption.

18. Children’s privacy

Bitz is intended for users aged 18 and over. The App does not contain adult content, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

19. International users

Bitz is operated from the United Arab Emirates. Because processing of personal files happens on your device, your files are not transferred to Quantara AI servers in the current version, wherever you are located. Platform services (section 20) may process limited data internationally under their own terms.

20. Third-party platform services

Bitz is distributed through Google Play and runs on Android. Google and the Android platform may independently process certain information (for example, install, crash, billing and platform diagnostics data) under Google’s own terms and privacy policies. That processing is separate from, and not controlled by, Quantara AI’s handling described in this policy.

21. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Bitz evolves (for example, if optional cloud features are introduced in a future version). The latest version, with its effective date, will always be available at this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
